"Perspectives in Nuclear Fission" workshop organized by UWS/JAEA
Wednesday 27 July, 2011 12:47 PM
A workshop entitled "Perspectives in Nuclear Fission" is being organized by Professor Andrei Andreyev, together with colleagues from JAEA in Tokai, Japan. The workshop will be held in Tokai from 14th - 16th March 2012 andwill be devoted to new experimental and theoretical achievements related to fission. Attention will also be given to developments in detectors and new facilities related to fission research. Topics covered will be:
- Fission of proton rich nucleus (e.g. recent results on beta-delayed fission in the lead region)
- Fission induced by heavy-ions ( fusion-fission, quasifission, tranfer-induced fission)
- Neutron and gamma-ray emission in fission
- Fission theory
- Fission cross section
- Fusion and heavy-ion reactions
- New facilities for fission studies
